Featuring 65 posters by 70 artists - representative of all fifty states, as well as Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. This is a stunning visual compilation of the creative work behind Project 270, a get-out-the-vote campaign from Mana Public Arts.
Created with the intention of empowering young voters aged 18–36, Mana Public Arts (Jersey City, NJ) founded Project 270, a public art initiative to encourage the voters to participate in the 2020 US presidential election. Through wheat pasting, giveaways, and collaborations with grassroots voting organizations, thousands of posters were distributed and displayed in major metropolitan areas.
Now bound into this magnificent book, newly relevant for 2024.
Includes:
- Profiles of each artist
- Details about the Project 270 execution and impact
- A Foreword by Hal Elliott Wert, Emeritus Professor of History, Kansas City Art Institute
- A newly designed tear-out poster from the new Project 270 2024 Get Out The Vote campaign (randomly selected for each book). New for 2024: Bisa Butler and Bony Ramirez.
