Spanning 75 years of fashion history, The Story of Newark Fashion: Atelier to Runway documents the groundbreaking loan exhibition of the same name, presented February 21 -June 2, 2024.

The catalog includes full scale color photographs the exhibition, along with rarely seen archival photography and an essay providing insight into the trailblazing careers of Newark designers Wesley Tann, Emily Miles, and Jerry Gant. Featuring excerpts from all-new interviews with the 8 living designers with Newark connections included in the exhibition, conducted by curator and fashion historian Kristen J. Owens. Interviews with Melody Asherman, Justice Pitt Goodson, Stephen Burrows, Tyrone Chablis, Marco Hall, Shavi Lewis, Emily Miles, Narciso Rodriguez, Douglas Says, and fashion models Pat Cleveland and Mikki Taylor, leading figures in the fashion world with deep Newark connections.
